Dr. Sean W. Bulson

Superintendent, Harford County Public Schools- Panelist

Dr. Sean W. Bulson has served as Superintendent of Harford County Public Schools since 2018, bringing over two decades of educational leadership experience to the role. He holds degrees from American University, Marymount University, and George Washington University in international relations, ESOL, and educational leadership.Prior to joining Harford County, Dr. Bulson served as Superintendent of Wilson County Schools in North Carolina and led innovative laboratory school initiatives with the University of North Carolina System designed to serve students from low-performing schools.
 
Recognition & Leadership

Dr. Bulson was named Maryland Superintendent of the Year in 2023 and selected as one of three national recipients of the American Association of School Administrators' prestigious Family Engagement Changemaker award in 2025. He serves on the AASA Executive Committee and Governing Board, and was appointed by Governor Wes Moore to Maryland's Professional Standards & Teacher Education Board.
