On Our Minds

From Idea to Implementation

In 2015 Superintendent Rich Merlo was among the first 10 leaders selected as part of the Lexington Education Leadership Award Fellowship. During his fellowship Rich and his team created their vision for personalized learning and they are now working at making it happen - starting with their high school. We are so excited to have been part of their journey since the beginning.

Join Us on a #PLRoadtrip

Anyone who works with us has heard us say that personalized learning is a journey and each district goes on its own path. Our Personalized Learning Implementation Framework is often the starting point for the journey — we use it to map out the stops along the way. And this year at the iNACOL Online and Blended Learning Symposium we will showcase the journeys of several districts at Booth 339 as well as in five sessions with 13 different districts! We’d love for you to join us on our #PLRoadtrip. Stop by our booth to chat, see the map, take pics and snag some swag. Looking forward to hearing about the stops you have already made on your journey and talking about what’s next!

Product Spotlight

If Alignment and Clear Priorities are What You Seek, You’ll Like Our New Product

Are you implementing personalized learning? Do you seek alignment, a shareable plan and clear, prioritized actions? Education Elements aims to give you each of these and more through a new web-based experience we call Touchpoint. It complements the on-the-ground support you get from our expert consultants.

Touchpoint is designed for district and school leadership teams. It creates alignment between the central office and schools through a customized and shared visual roadmap. Each stop along your journey outlines critical actions and includes sample artifacts from districts who have “been there before.”

Along the way, Touchpoint captures key milestones, deliverables and decisions — making it easier to onboard new staff members to the work. No more searching around in various emails, documents and websites. Everything you need to support and sustain personalized learning is in one place.
